Resin Coated Sand |
|
This is a range of a Resin Coated Sand used in production of cores & moulds by shell process with superb hot strength. It is prepared from high grade Silica sand by precoating it with phenol - formaldehyde (PF) resin and catalyst. This resin - coated sand is very smooth, free flowing and dry with good resistance to moisture.
Our product is produced in an ultra modern coating plant by warm air process with a range of different grades to suit the individual requirement of foundries.

Recommended Application Procedure
- Metchem is a range of
high graded Silica sand coated with resin.s.
- It gives an
exceptionally high hot strength.
-
It is highly
resistant to peel back.
- It is very
dry, smooth, and free flowing with good resistance to moisture.
- Gas evolution
is very low during pouring.
- It develops
uniform build-up with faster rate of cure.
- It gives
strong core & mould.
- Exceptionally
smooth and excellent surface finish of the casting with no sand fusion.
- For
excellent Casting surface finish use our Water based or
Solvent based product range of refractory coatings.

Precautions
Soon after use Close the bag tightly to avoid external contamination.
Note
Metchem resin coated sand of specific grades can be supplied as per requirement of customer.
